Humble In Life, Fierce In Battle
Shihan Brown is the Founder and Chief Instructor at the
Frederick Academy Of Self Defense. He and the Academy are under the
directorship of Dr. Powell, Professor King, Kyoshi May, and Kyoshi
Drago. He has been a student of martial arts for 36 years and an
instructor for 26 years. He is a second generation student of Dr. Moses
Powell and was nominated as the Instructor Of The Year by the United States
Martial Arts Association (2005).Mr. Brown has a
Bachelor Of Science Degree from Pacific Western University in Computer
Information Systems and Database Management, and a Master of Science Degree
from Farington University in Computer Information Technology.
His
military career has afforded him the rare privilege of defending his country
and provided him with exposure to a wealth of talented instructors and
martial disciplines. As such, Mr. Brown has adopted the following ideal
relative to training in the martial arts:
"The philosophy of every student
should be to train constantly, irrespective of location or discipline.
Always search out instructors where ever life takes you and train with them.
This you must appreciate and reflect upon."

Of Bugeisha (Warrior Students) For The Purpose Of Preserving And
Disseminating The Martial Arts As They Were Conceived By The Original Soke's
